International Shipping Transit Time from Hong Kong

International Shipping Transit Time from Hong Kong

Quick Answer

In a hurry? Choose UPS Express Saver or FedEx IP (2–4 working days). For light retail parcels, EconomiQ lines (7–14 working days) offer the lowest rates. Battery-powered goods go with UPS or FedEx; cosmetics and liquids with Aramex or the Makeup line; food and herbal products with Veelo. DHL via Fuuffy does not accept battery products and takes 4–8 working days. Actual rates and times are shown live on the quote page.

Choosing by Scenario

  • Urgent or high-value shipments: choose UPS Express Saver or FedEx IP (2–4 working days), and add shipment protection.
  • Light retail parcels on a budget: for 0.1–2kg store orders, EconomiQ lines cut costs significantly (tagged "lowest rate" on the platform) — note one parcel per order, no food or branded goods.
  • Heavy cargo over 21kg or FBA restocking: business accounts get lower per-kg rates above 21kg; Amazon-bound shipments must be sent DDP, and dedicated lines do not deliver to Amazon warehouses.
  • Battery-powered electronics: use UPS or FedEx (tick "contains battery" at booking; max 100Wh per battery, 5kg total). Do not choose DHL or Aramex — neither accepts battery products.
  • Cosmetics, liquids and food: alcohol-free cosmetics go with Aramex or Makeup EconomiQ; food and herbal soup packs with Veelo (UK, Canada, Australia). Declare honestly and the system will filter eligible channels — never force a restricted item onto a general line.

Two Billing Rules That Directly Affect Your Cost

Notice: volumetric divisors differ

Every channel bills the higher of actual and volumetric weight. The big four (UPS, FedEx, DHL, Aramex) use a divisor of 5000 (L × W × H cm ÷ 5000), while EconomiQ lines use 8000 — noticeably cheaper for bulky-but-light goods like plush toys and clothing. It is not a volumetric-weight exemption, so still compress your packaging.

Notice: oversize surcharge thresholds vary

FedEx charges a surcharge if any of these applies: longest side over 121cm, second-longest side over 76cm, or length plus girth over 266cm. UPS limits are 70kg actual weight, 274cm per side and 400cm length plus girth, with heavy surcharges beyond; parcels smaller than 29 × 18cm may be bagged, affecting billed weight. DHL adds surcharges for sides over 120cm or boxes over 60kg. After you enter dimensions, the quote page flags potential surcharges — check before shipping.
