Delivered at Place Unloaded (DAP) is a common term used in practice, meaning the seller arranges for the goods to be delivered to the designated unloading location (port, airport, or warehouse). The actual division of responsibilities should be understood in conjunction with the contract and Incoterms. For similar terms like DAP or DPU (Delivered at Place Unloaded), the responsibility for unloading and customs clearance should be clearly stated. It is recommended that the delivery terms, location, and cost inclusions be clearly indicated on the quotation and bill of lading to minimize disputes and additional costs upon arrival.
