The declared/Shipment Value is the value of the goods reported by the shipper to the carrier. It is used to calculate the maximum compensation limit or insurance premium. It may not be the same as the customs declaration value and needs to be differentiated according to the terms. If the goods are high-priced and high-risk, it is recommended to purchase transportation insurance and declare the correct value to ensure adequate compensation.
